Associate/Full Professor

We are seeking stellar applicants for tenured positions at the Associate or Full Professor levels. Applicants must have a research-focused doctorate (e.g., PhD, DNSc) in nursing or another health-related field (health psychology, public health, etc.) and a nationally/internationally-recognized program of research. Applicants must have a strong record of NIH and other extramural research funding and a distinguished publication record. We are particularly interested in individuals with programs of research in the following areas:

  • Neurosciences,
  • Big Data/Informatics,
  • Mental Health, or
  • Population Health.

Tenure-track Assistant Professor

We are seeking stellar applicants for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. Applicants must have a research-focused doctorate (e.g., PhD, DNSc) in nursing or another health-related field (biomedical informatics, psychology/psychiatry, public health, neuroimaging, etc.) an active program of research with strong potential for NIH and other extramural research funding, and a robust publication record. We are particularly interested in individuals with programs of research in the following areas:

Health Sciences Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor

We are seeking stellar applicants for the position of Health Sciences Clinical Professor at the Assistant/Associate rank. Successful candidates will be responsible for teaching in the undergraduate and graduate level pre-licensure programs as well as the upcoming DNP program. Faculty will also have the opportunity to practice in one of the UC Irvine Health ambulatory centers. Applicants should possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates must show evidence of collaborative interdisciplinary partnerships that advance the science of improving health outcomes for individuals, families and communities, and of teaching the next generation of nursing professionals. Qualified applicants must have the demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of colleagues and to teach and mentor a diverse student body.

Lecturer

We are seeking stellar applicants for the position of Lecturer in the areas of

  • Obstetrics/Maternal Health,
  • Pathophysiology, and
  • Pharmacology.

These appointments will initially be made on a quarterly basis as the need arises to cover specific topics in the School of Nursing, with potential for continuing employment. Previous experience teaching these courses or similar courses at the University of California or an equivalent setting is required. The salary is commensurate with experience, at varying percentages of time depending on the course assigned.
