DNP, Doctor of Nursing Practice, Accepting Applications


You must do the following to be considered for DNP admission:

  1. Complete the Online Application for Graduate Admission addressing all items outlined in the Personal History/Statement of Purpose guidelines (PDF)

    Note: For international applicants, please complete the Statement of Purpose essay in the application, and then email the Personal History essay to
  1. Submit three letters of recommendation
    • 1st from most recent employer (clinical)
    • 2nd from a college professor or instructor who can assess your readiness for doctoral studies (academic) 
    • 3rd from either

    Note: Review instructions on submitting letters of recommendation
    › Recommendations should be current (written within 3 years of application)
    › Additional letters of recommendation will not be considered
    › Family members or friends are not eligible to write letters of recommendation

  2. Submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, via official e-mail or mail.

  3. Submit Resume/Curriculum vitae, via e-mail or mail.
    • Detail your educational background, professional work/clinical experience, professional and/or community activities, certification and licenses, awards/honors/merit scholarships, bilingual abilities, and any unique experience you think is relevant (including, but no limited to, presentations, publications, leadership, research, etc.)
    • TOEFL or IELTS test scores to show proficiency in English (for international students) — click here to determine if a TOEFL score is needed
